A Song for a Spring

Sky colour of hell, chase bonfire smell,

Autumn greets winter, orange leaves tell;
Burning red ochre on amber through gold:
Swirling warm colours hide dark winter's cold.
Biting and fighting, wind whistles and weaves,
Tightening up scarves; swashing leaves, swaying trees.
As red bleeds to white and the bright leaves the sky
The light fills the soul to see nature's strength die
And spark a rebirth; vernal and new
That burns through the sky and scorches it blue.
The beauty of life reflects heaven above,
In the darkest of seasons, take comfort in love.
